The CatholiCity Message

Volume II, Number 24 – June 17, 1998

Dear CatholiCity Citizen,

We know, we know, we said we were going to take a week off, but this short and sweet.

2. We SCREWED UP DEPARTMENT
I inadvertently offended some readers last week with my joke containing subject matter involving a brothel and clergymen. I sincerely apologize. I thought the joke illustrated the touching, forgiving love the Irish have for their priests. I didn't intend to offend.

ANECDOTE OF THE WEEK
In his late 80s, patriot Thomas Jefferson fell into a coma on July 2nd. He came to on July 4th and said, "Is it the fourth?" His family members nodded. He then expired. Four hours later, his co-patriot and sometimes rival, Sam Adams, muttered his own last words, "Jefferson still survives," then passed away.

Yours in Christ,

Your Friends at CatholiCity
