The CatholiCity Message

Volume VI, Number 6 – March 28, 2002

Dear CatholiCity Citizen,

We'll keep this short, because we just sent you a message earlier this week, but there have been important new developments...

1. MEET THE PRESS, MEET THE PRIEST
We've just been informed that Father John McCloskey, who most of you know by his excellent articles posted on CatholiCity, will be appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press" this Easter Sunday, 31 March, at 10:30 am, Eastern to discuss the current scandals. He will also be on Mother Angelica Live at 8 pm on Wednesday, 11 April. If you've never seen him, you're in for a treat. Father John is much more dynamic in person than in print...

2. CAMPION IS A BARGAIN, TOO
Our friends at the newly-founded Campion College in San Francisco, which is opening in Fall 2002, after reading the item about affordable and authentically Catholic colleges, have told us some excellent news. All thirty student positions for their opening freshman class will have full tuition scholarships available, and room and board will probably be supplied by a generous benefactor to the college. In short, the first year is free to qualified applicants–a $23,000 value. There are some conditions, which you can read about at the Campion College website:

(FREE TUITION MAY NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE TO ALL)

3. GOOD FRIDAY ROSARY CRUSADE
We've been swamped with messages about a one-day Rosary Crusade sweeping the Internet. Please join us and Catholics around the world in praying the Rosary between noon and 3:00 pm on Good Friday for the end of legalized abortion.

Finally, please our staff and your fellow 70,000+ CatholiCity Citizens and their families in a simple prayer to hail this Easter Weekend...

FROM DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET
"You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelope the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us! For the sake of Your sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Amen."

EASTER QUOTE
"Where is thy sting, O death? Where is thy victory, O hell? Christ has risen, and thou art overthrown. Christ has risen, and the demons have fallen. Christ has risen, and the angels rejoice. Christ has risen, and life reigneth!"
Saint John Chrysostom

See you on the other side, when the stone is rolled away.

With Christ,

Your Friends at CatholiCity
