I Need a Favor

My Friends,

It's been too long since my last message. I've been under a dark spiritual cloud for months. Oddly, I believe it is a gift from God: another result of my daily fasting in 2022 for the conversion of your loved ones.

I spent the past few weeks contemplating this dark cloud, which is so foreign to my naturally peaceful temperament. I wrote about what I found, but it was too lengthy for an email, so I'll have more for you in my next message.

What I discovered shocked me. It is frightening, jarring, ugly stuff. I found, well, where the devil lives. It is also suffused with hope.

One One One One

But here, in this email, we'll offer one prayer together. I have one Catholic quote. One Catholic calendar notice. And just one favor to ask. To wit...

I'm fairly sure ordering to give me comfort is a bad reason to order, but it will comfort me.

I Want the Dark Cloud

Strangely, I don't really want to feel better. Lately, I just want be in God's will, and if that includes enduring a dark cloud, well, fine by me. (Maybe you should not order so I am not comforted.)

And if I keep writing stuff like this, nobody will bother reading this message anymore unless they want to read weird stuff that doesn't make sense.

Over the twenty-seven years that I have been writing this message, I can't recall bringing up my "feelings."

Because I am a man. My primary emotion is nothing. I just go about my day, doing stuff. Guys, you understand.
