Sins and Punishment

"...complete forgiveness of sins and punishment."

Beyond Man and Angel

The quote above is what Jesus himself told Saint Faustina while describing what happens on Divine Mercy Sunday if you simply go to Confession (on Saturday) and worthily receive Holy Communion this Sunday.

This gift from the Sacred Heart "is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity."

For me, this is like receiving a plenary indulgence without the usual difficult conditions, as well as a perfect way to celebrate the final day of the Octave of Easter. Here's a detailed explanation from the Marians at Stockbridge.

I can't know how many of you already knew about this, but I figure an introduction or reminder only does a body good. Meet me in the Eucharist this weekend!

Divine Mercy and Operation True Cross

Hey—and this will clean the wax out of anybody's ears—here is my explanation of the historically and theologically profound Divine Mercy "connection" with our Operation True Cross prayer movement, including the stunning origins of the Eternal Father prayer—and why it is the ultimate Eucharistic prayer—plus the desperate request of the massive Guardian Angel of the United States to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet to save our nation:

Fist to My Chest

It's been too long since I gave props to our monthly credit card and mail-in donors, who help pay our utility bills, rent, and wages—allowing us to impact millions of lives. You are Our Lady's hidden generous ones. On behalf of every soul we touch and my tireless coworkers, thank you.

What's With the With?

Thirty-four years ago, while finishing up a letter to a benefactor—and from whence this came I do not know—I closed using "With Mary," before my signature.

I had never seen a closing (also known as a valediction) that used the word with before, but it seemed almost perfectly fitting because I am her fully consecrated son and I never do anything without her.

I am never alone. Neither are you.

Alone I am nothing. With you—and Jesus, Joseph, and Mary, and all the saints and angels—we are the heel that crushes the head of the serpent.

As the old saying goes, "good writers borrow and great writers steal," so feel free to wholesale copy that one from me.

Pray the Divine Mercy Prayer with Me

Let us begin in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit...

Eternal Father, I offer you the body, blood, soul, and divinity of your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. Amen.

Happy Easter, my friends.

Thanks for reading this and my last message on the passing of Pope Francis. I'll get back to all of you, eventually.

Onward to victory—over the whole world! Hang tough—or hang weak—but hang in there.

Have you fallen? I'm down in the dirt, too, so help me up.
