Full Initiation (1322-1323)
Those baptized and confirmed are fully initiated into the Church by receiving first Eucharist.
At the Last Supper, Our Lord instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages. In this memorial of his death and Resurrection "Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace and a pledge of future glory is given" (Second Vatican Council).
